Moniker represents mission, knowledge and innovation

Building on its Franciscan roots in service to the underserved, commitment for excellence in knowledge and motivation to be a leader of new ideas and programs, 缅北强奸 unveils a new academic mark to reflect the university鈥檚 new strategic direction that includes Reading CollegeTowne, the innovative strategy of expanding the campus into downtown Reading.

鈥淭he time has come to boldly highlight the specific elements that serve as the foundation for making 缅北强奸 one of the top comprehensive regional universities in the country and a uniquely positioned leader in higher education,鈥 said 缅北强奸 President John R. Loyack. 鈥淭hrough a project that started about a year ago, led by a faculty committee and involving more than 100 people, we are unveiling a new identity embraced by our committee, trustees and founding sisters. We are more than the A in our name.鈥

Elements of the academic mark are the compass, tau, open book and arch. They symbolize 缅北强奸鈥檚 strong, traditional values of a Catholic liberal arts education, serve as a reminder of the founding mission of the Bernardine Sisters of service to all and reaffirm commitment to helping students develop innate talents, discover passions and lead successful lives with deep meaning and purpose.

The new academic mark replaces the 鈥淎鈥 logo and all of its complements. The academic mark does not replace the Golden Wolves logo, which is the primary mark for the 缅北强奸鈥檚 Athletics Department, including all men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 sport teams, events and activities.

Transition to the new academic mark starts immediately in high profile areas (website, email signatures, billboards, digital media) and completed over the next few months for other items (print collateral, banners). Full use of the new academic mark by the university is expected by July 1, 2020.
