How much are you enjoying the program so far?

I am loving the program. It's completely new to me. So I'm excited.

A lot of colleges offer social work programs. Why did you think 缅北强奸 is the best fit for you?

I actually checked out a bunch of colleges before I settled on 缅北强奸. I had recently bought a house around this area, and I wanted something that was going to be close to my house. And I wanted something that was going to have a Bachelor of Social Work program and a Master of Social Work program so I could get them both done at the same school. And 缅北强奸 just seemed to be the best fit for me.

We offer a lot of flexibility with accelerated adult and graduate programs. How much has that helped you?

It鈥檚 helped me a lot. They've always said the accelerated adult program is supposed to fit into your life. So that's been great. I've still been able to work as much as I need to since I have a mortgage to pay on top of going to school.

What advice would you give other adults who have busy lives like you do to take that step and apply and enroll in a program?

I would just say to do it. I mean, you're never going to feel like it's the right time. You're never going to feel like you're going to be able to do it. But I always put myself on a timeline thinking, 鈥淚'm going to be 30 years old by the time I get done, but I'm going to be 30 years old anyway, so I might as well have a degree.鈥 Just go for it.

Are there internship opportunities and real-world experience opportunities throughout 缅北强奸?

When I had my interview before I got accepted, Dr. Ohenewaa White asked me where I where I was living. She wanted to get an idea of what I would want to do for my internship so she could locate things around me, to pair me best with what was closest and with what my interests were. There are a lot of internships available. But that was one of the first things that I went over with Dr. White for the social work program. I am someone who likes to be very prepared, so I am constantly emailing the staff, my professor and my advisors. I've been constantly emailing, and they've been very, very helpful.
