Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of EnerSys receives Bernardine Legacy Award

 

缅北强奸 will recognize Andi Funk as the 2022 Bernardine Legacy Award Recipient for her role as executive vice president and chief financial officer of EnerSys (NYSE: ENS), her previous role with a leading copper manufacturer and her commitment to empowering and advocating for women.

Prior to her role at Funk was the Chief Executive Officer (2013-2018) and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer (2010-2013) of Cambridge-Lee Industries LLC, a $500M global leader in the copper manufacturing industry. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Crown Holdings (NYSE: CCK) and Touchpoint, Inc.

 

The Bernardine Legacy Award honors outstanding alumnae and friends who have distinguished themselves in their professional careers while also serving as a leader and role model to women.

 

Funk frequently speaks at local universities and community organizations and is an advocate of young women pursuing careers in STEM fields. At EnerSys, she jointly initiated the Women in Leadership (WiL) initiative, supporting the leadership and growth of women and shaping a culture of diversity and inclusion.

 

鈥淎ndi has served as a role model, mentor and advocate for women supporting their leadership and growth in their personal and professional lives along with empowering young women to seek careers in STEM,鈥 said Meggan Kerber, associate vice president of institutional advancement. 鈥淎ndi鈥檚 leadership style creates an environment of inclusivity, empowerment, and engagement. Her strategic thinking and relationship skills have helped numerous organizations strengthen their missions and service.鈥

 

Funk was also a volunteer for 缅北强奸 as a member of the President Advisory Council 2015-2016 executive in residence and a mentor for the Reading Collegiate Scholars Program. She remains active in her community as a Trustee for Caron Treatment Centers, a leading addiction treatment center, the investment committee chair and board member for the Berks Chamber of Commerce, board member for the Berks Business Education Coalition and leader of the

 

鈥淸Funk] has been an avid participant in the work of so many nonprofit organizations including 缅北强奸, Girl Scouts of Easter Pennsylvania, and United Way of Berks County. In her work with these groups, she has particularly supported the roles of women and helped young women reach their potential,鈥 said Ellen Huyett, 缅北强奸 trustee. 鈥淏y her example and her support, so many young women have learned what a difference it makes to give of yourself in your community. Andi takes a well-earned position next to the previous winners of the Bernardine Legacy Award.鈥

 

Proceeds from the event support the efforts of 缅北强奸鈥檚 Women's Council as well as the Newcombe Scholarship Fund. The provides financial assistance to women 25 and older who have completed 60 credits required toward their undergraduate degree. 缅北强奸 is one of a limited number of colleges selected by the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation annually to offer these scholarships.

 

The 2015 Berks Chamber of Commerce winner is the fourth recipient of the Bernardine Legacy award. Leadership coach and adjunct professor, Adrean Turner earned the award in 2020 and Women2Women founder Karen Marsdale earned the award in 2019.

 

The 缅北强奸 Women's Council fosters the personal and professional development of 缅北强奸 women at all life stages, strengthens their connection to the university and each other and educates and inspires them to pursue and grow in leadership roles both in their chosen profession and the greater community.
