In the event of an employee death, the University community must respond with concern, care, and respect for the employee and their family and friends. As a Catholic and Franciscan institution, the response should embody our core values of service, peacemaking, collegiality, contemplation, and humility. This policy is intended to assist University personnel responsible for executing the tasks that are the result of such an unfortunate event. Further, this policy is designed to ease the administrative burden of University offices and address the needs of the employee and their family in a timely manner.
