Bio:
John Wanner is the founder and president of Wanner Associates. John has more than 30 years of experience in government relations, convention and seminar management, public affairs and association management. He is a former officer of the Pennsylvania Association of Government Relations and board member of the Pennsylvania Society of Association Executives. He is also the chief staff executive for many of the firm鈥檚 association management clients.
John has been a part of the passage of dozens of bills for clients and takes a flexible approach to solving his client鈥檚 organizational issues. He brings creativity and dedication to every problem his clients present.
He has received distinguished service awards from a variety of organizations, including those representing engineers, landscape architects and chiropractors. The Pennsylvania Building and Construction Trades Council made him an honorary lifetime member. The President Pro Tempore of the Pennsylvania Senate appointed him to the PA School Construction Task Force.
John graduated magna cum laude from 缅北强奸 where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science. He served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2015-2018. During his time on the Board, he chaired the Alumni Council, the committee on Trusteeship and Governance, and was the Vice Chair for the Institutional Advancement Committee. For his service on the Board of Trustees, John was named an Emeritus Trustee in 2018.
In addition to his service to his alma mater, John has served as an officer of the Pennsylvania Association for Government Relations; board member of the Pennsylvania Standardbred Breeders Association; member of the Pennsylvania Society of Association Executives as well as the Pennsylvanian鈥檚 for Effective Government; and co-chair of the Pennsylvania Helmets to Hardhats program.
