2023 Bernardine Legacy Award Winner

Partner & Wealth Manager of Kingsview Partners to receive Bernardine Legacy Award  

缅北强奸 will recognize Partner & Wealth Manager at Kingsview Partners, Regina Rinehimer, as the 2023 Bernardine Legacy Award recipient at the 5th Annual 缅北强奸 Women's Council Luncheon on June 7, 2023, at 12 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading, 701 Penn Street, Reading, Pa. 

 
鈥淩egina has served as an advocate, champion and mentor for women in and beyond Berks County, even through challenges and setbacks in her personal and professional life, for well over a decade,鈥 said 缅北强奸 Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement, Meggan Kerber. 鈥淪he has dedicated her time to helping women continue forward after setbacks such as divorce, death, loss of employment, and illness through her leadership positions, education, fundraising, programming, volunteering, sponsorship and more.鈥 

 

The Bernardine Legacy Award honors outstanding alumnae and friends who have distinguished themselves in their professional careers while also serving as a leader and role model to women. Recipients must have a history of actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills, contribute time and energy to improve the quality of life for others, specifically women, in the community and demonstrate a strong passion and outspoken advocacy for the advancement of women. 

 

鈥淭his award takes my breath away because it means so many things to me,鈥 said Rinehimer. 鈥淢y love for 缅北强奸 allowed my daughter, Leigh-Anne Sobjak 鈥07, to do great things while keeping faith in the picture. In addition, 缅北强奸 has always been at the core of helping the community and helping students from all walks of life. Finally, the mission of the Charlotte Newcomb Foundation is to support educationally unsound, unfinished business which is a motivating factor to me. It鈥檚 in my DNA. That鈥檚 why I am so honored to be receiving this award.鈥 

 

Rinehimer attended West Virginia Northern Community College in Wheeling, Wv. and Pennsylvania State University, where she studied business and finance. She formed her sole financial practice during the 2008 financial crisis and her 25-year career in financial services includes working for legacy firms. She's also a founding member of Women2Women Council and served as co-chair. She supports 缅北强奸 Women鈥檚 Council, Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Advisory Board, Bridge2Better, Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County, Girls Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Junior Achievement of Berks County, Reading First Program, Family Violence Prevention Program, Berks Women In Crisis/Safe Berks.  

 

In addition, Rinehimer is a past Board President for Mary鈥檚 Shelter's Board President, has taught financial literacy classes in local High Schools, and was a corporate sponsor of Violins of Hope. She is the fifth recipient of the Bernardine Legacy award. Andi Funk earned the award in 2022, Adrean Turner earned it in 2020 and Karen Marsdale earned it in 2019 and The Honorable Linda Ludgate '77 earned the inaugural award in 2018. 

 

鈥淩egina, in her daily life, reflects attributes central to the 缅北强奸 mission to be guided by Franciscan values of 鈥榢nowledge joined with love鈥 rooted in the Catholic tradition,鈥 said 缅北强奸 Trustee & Retired CEO and President East Penn Manufacturing, Dan Langdon. 鈥淪he is committed to serving as a leader and role model to young women. Her commitment or professional development for women includes mentoring college students and working with organizations promoting scholarships for their advancement. Regina is also well known for her dedication to the community and has been recognized by news organizations as well as the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance. She is a well-deserved recipient of the Bernadine Legacy Award as she continues to be a living example of leadership for young women.鈥 

 

Tickets are $45 per person or $350 per table of 8. by May 19.  are also available. Proceeds from the event support the efforts of 缅北强奸鈥檚 Women's Council as well as the Newcombe Scholarship Fund. The Newcombe Scholarship provides financial assistance to adult students who have completed 60 credits required toward their undergraduate degree. 缅北强奸 is one of a of colleges selected by the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation annually to offer these scholarships.  

 

The 缅北强奸 Women鈥檚 Council fosters the personal and professional development of 缅北强奸 women at all life stages, strengthens their connection to the university and each other and educates and inspires them to pursue and grow in leadership roles both in their chosen profession and the greater community. The program is open to all members of the 缅北强奸 community and everyone is welcome to participate.
